 ootball team in 43 years\, which won the bi-district championship in 1972.
  After football\, they became successful and beloved school administrators
  until their retirements: Coach Carrico as Denton ISD Athletic Director an
 d Coach Collins as Denton High School Dean of Men. Separately\, they are m
 emorialized by the beautiful Denton ISD athletic facilities that bear thei
 r names.\n\nDenton High Cares is proud to announce the Third Annual Carric
 o/Collins Memorial Weekend\, honoring the memories of Coach Carrico and Co
 ach Collins\, two great men whose legacies are intertwined with and integr
 al to the history of our high school.\nOn Sunday\, October 10\, 2021\, at 
 the beautiful Oakmont Country Club in Corinth\, Texas\, the Foundation wil
 l host the first ever Carrico/Collins Scholarship Celebration Banquet\, wh
 ere scholarships will be awarded to two deserving Denton High School gradu
 ates of the Class of 2021. We are especially honored that the scholarship 
 selection committee is composed of representatives of both families\, who 
 graciously volunteered their time to develop the scholarship criteria and 
 select the recipients. Join us for an evening of music\, laughter\, fellow
 ship and fun as we mix with and celebrate the Carrico and Collins families
  and honor our scholarship recipients.
