 . They set an example for the community in building a friendship that stre
 ngthened to brotherhood as they led Denton High School’s most successful f
 ootball team in 43 years\, which won the bi-district championship in 1972.
  After football\, they became successful and beloved school administrators
  until their retirements: Coach Carrico as Denton ISD Athletic Director an
 d Coach Collins as Denton High School Dean of Men. Separately\, they are m
 emorialized by the beautiful Denton ISD athletic facilities that bear thei
 r names.\n\nThe Denton High School Family Assistance Foundation (“Denton H
 igh Cares”) is proud to present the Third Annual Carrico/Collins Memorial 
 Weekend\, honoring the memories of these great men\, together\, just as th
 ey were so often linked in life.\n\nOn Monday\, October 11\, 2021\, we wil
 l gather for a great day of golf\, also at the Oakmont Country Club. Sign-
 in will begin at 10:30 a.m.\, with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. Lunch will
  be served beginning at 11:00 a.m.\, and after the round\, we will have a 
 great time at a reception and awards ceremony\, with music by the Denton H
 igh School Jazz Band and tons of fun\, with incredible raffle prizes as we
 ll as amazing prizes for the winning golfers.\n
