On Monday, September 28, Denton High Cares gathered at Oakmont Country Club in Corinth to celebrate two great Broncos, Coach Bill Carrico and Coach C.H. Collins. 72 golfers came out to support our foundation, and everyone had a wonderful time!
A first in Foundation history
In the eleven tournaments we've presented since 2015, we had never had a hole-in-one -- until now! Congratulations to Jacob Dodson, who made the shot of a lifetime at hole 17! Jacob is the son of Foundation founders and Denton High alumni Craig and Tiffanie Dodson, and the brother of DHS alumnae Jordan and Jillian Dodson. His prize includes a 5-day, 4-night cruise and a $1,000 American Express Privileges gift certificate. Couldn't have happened to a better guy!

Raffle and auctions
Guests enjoyed a great raffle, a silent auction, and a live auction featuring a Cooper Flagg jersey. Thank you to everyone who bid, bought tickets, and gave so generously.

Our amazing students
Year after year, young Broncos help us give our guests a great experience:
- The DHS Fillies welcomed golfers, helped with check-in, and delivered water throughout the day. Thank you to their sponsor, Kerri Burgess, and to her assistant, Jamitrice Eneh.
- The DHS Golf Team loaded golf bags onto carts and stocked them with water and snacks. Thank you to their sponsor, Melissa Asplund.
- The DHS ROTC Cadets also loaded bags and stocked carts. Thank you to their sponsor, Capt. Jeff Gross.
